Lazy Ganni angels
On the beauty front, the Ganni models oozed lazy and edgy Copenhagen girls. But as always with a twist. Some models wore glittering stones on their eyelids. This was a good illustration of the fact that this autumn’s Ganni girl may not wear very much makeup, but she still wants to get noticed.
The idea was that about half the models would wear the glittery eye. The rest went completely makeup-free. Trine Skjøth did the makeup and her team work carefully. Because each ‘stone makeup’ took an hour and a half to complete and when the runway rehearsals dragged on longer than anticipated, the team had to lower their ambitions… But in the show itself later on, the effect of the glittery eye on the Ganni angels from Copenhagen was a surprising treat.
Get the look:
To copy the glittery eye, there is no need to cover the entire eyelid. That is an almost impossible project. But remember that the look has been designed to catch the eye on the catwalk. But a dramatic result can be achieved with anything from one to ten stones on each eyelid. Attach the small stones with a pair of tweezers and some Duo eyelash glue. Place them along the eyelashes. Ensure that the outer stones are placed slightly higher than the lashes to lift the outer corner of the eye. The stones which can be bought from nail salons are available in all colours. Prices vary. But avoid stones with adhesive on the back. They are not made for use on the skin. The models wore a thin layer of Vitalumière Aqua SPF 15 by Chanel with a couple of drops of Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in the colour Moonstone. This provides beautiful skin that still looks good on an edgy and lazy Copenhagen girl.
