Pon de replay – Saks Potts

CPH Fashion Week takes off in Copenhagen next week. One of the highlights from the last fashion week was Saks Potts’ show on Nørrebro. Unfortunately, the design duo isn’t hosting a show this season, so let’s instead take another look at the backstage photos from last summer! – Blushing pink on cheeks and lids, hair that looked as if it had been rolling around the hay, and beautiful brown and blue furs which have since been seen on influencers around the world.

The make-up:
“For the make-up look at Saks Potts, we’ve used a pink Cream Blush from & Other Stories. The colour has neither a cold nor warm undertone so it goes well with all the models. We’ve applied it on both eyes and cheeks. The pink colour provides an amazing contrast to the bluish and brown shades of the collection as well as makes blue eyes stand out. As the collection is inspired by country girls, it was important to the designers that the make-up wasn’t too cute. The skin is kept very simple, we’ve given it plenty of moisture, Aqua Vitalumiere from Chanel, and a bit of mother-of-pearl on the cheekbones to make the skin look healthy and lovely”, chief make-up artist Trine Skjøth explained.

The hair:
“For the hair, we wanted all models to have their own individual look. But a general theme was messy and unwashed hair. The models should look like they’d had a roll around the hay. Some of the models had their hair blow-dried on big round brushes. Others had a haircut. To give texture, we used Morning After Dust in the lengths and Mythic Oil Spray in the ends. Both products from L’Oréal Professionnel. Finally, the hair was combed and made less heavy with brushes from Mason Pearson as well as our fingers which was quite unique and very cool!”, hair stylist Cim Mahony from Studio Cim Mahony explained.
